First medal quest of the year and thanks to the Waterhawks and the amazing spirit, we won our division placing 13th overall for the competition. Not bad for the Waterhawks!

Being in PA has it's high points, like having 3 teams at a festival so we can soak the other boats on the water! Like during a turn on the 2000m race, or after a 250m race.

Anyways, great start to what will be a great season!

Dan's medal count++;

Techie vs Artsy

Mel said, don't get advice from a techie about photography. Yes, I totally agree with her. She said techies think in terms of exact aperature setting, shutter speed and all that. While it is important to understand how that works, exact numbers don't matter. I used to type in numbers in photoshop. Of course, they'd usually be multiples of 5 or 10. Now I simply slide the slider 'till something looks good.

My reasoning: techies make the environment the way they need it to be before they can work with it. Artsies on the other hand, work around the environment and figure out how to incorporate it into the final picture. I'm happy to say I'm both techie and artsy. I can do it both ways. =)

Back in UW Hip Hop

Yes, I am back at UW Hip Hop. Figured even if I had to drive up for work every day, I'd at least stay to take on some campus life once again. Also, after going clubbing for the PA Fundraiser, then the week after, I realized how much I missed dancing .. and not just dancing, but dancing w/ the crew!

 Many of the regulars are gone. Vicky, Mel, Mish, Tola ... miss you girls! Well, Mish and Tola are probably on co-op .. but Mel and Vicky are gone! Anyways, so I officially joined UW HH this term, unlike last term where I just dropped by to say hi. I haven't seen Kyle or Yangmin in ages! Yangmin got into med school after only doing a 3 year program. Haha, that guy's super smart. Laurie, you shoulda gone for it too and not worried about getting in!

 Got suckered by FJ into doing Air Alert III after. Haha, he started w/ I and II and we just joined on week 8 of III .. :o .. killer. I had to stop at some point for like 10 mins 'cuz I was going to puke and got nauseus .. but .. it was good. I'm glad FJ got me into it. I'll probably join them whenever I can during the week.
